Ihr Kompass in der Weinwelt
Auf den Autokennzeichen steht „PACA“ und „13“. PACA ist die Abkürzung für die französische Region Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur, 13 ist die Nummer des Départements Bouches-du-Rhône. Wir sind im Süden Frankreichs, im Midi. Und wir erkunden ein urbanes Terrain, dessen Ruf nicht der beste ist.
Dies ein Plädoyer für ein unterschätztes Reiseziel, und zwar (auch) ausdrücklich, wenn es um Wein und Genuss geht. Die Rede ist von Marseille.
„Metropole des Midi: Weinkultur in Marseille“ weiterlesenWenn Weinjournalisten, Sommeliers oder Winzer über Burgund sprechen, vergleichen sie Jahrgänge nicht willkürlich – sie suchen Referenzpunkte, um neue Erfahrungen einzuordnen. 2022 wurde sofort als „Jahrgang der Balance“ gefeiert: trockene Hitze, aber kühle Nächte, moderate Erträge, gesunde Trauben, harmonische Weine. Es war ein Jahr, das an 2019 oder 2015 erinnerte – klassisch, aber modern. 2023 kam hingegen mit einem Ruf nach Vorsicht: Rekordwärme, extreme Erträge, Hagel, Überreife – und dennoch: fruchtige, charmante, zugängliche Weine. In unserem ersten Bericht über den Jahrgang «Der Burgunder-Jahrgang 2023: Das Jahr aller Gefahren» (Link) haben wir Folgendes geschrieben:
„Von der Harmonie zur HitzeDer Burgunder-Jahrgang 2023 ist charmant und fruchtig: expressive Aromen, weiche Tannine bei Roten, lebendige Säure bei Weissen. Hohe Erträge (bis zu 30 % mehr Trauben) sorgen für Fülle, aber oft weniger Konzentration. Im Vergleich zu 2022 – ausgeglichen, harmonisch, universell top – ist 2023 erratischer: ähnlich hohe Peaks, aber Tiefs durch Hagel und Trockenheit.
Kaufen? Ja, selektiv – günstiger, zugänglich, langfristig vielversprechend bei Top-Produzenten. Die Homogenitätsdebatte stimmt: Das Wetter machte Qualität lagenabhängig, kein „One size fits all“. Ich sehe die Chance in der Vielfalt – perfekt für Entdecker!
