Societal expectations regarding the use of phytosanitary products and climate change are two major challenges for the Bourgogne wine industry, as well as restoring production capacity. To help the sector meet these challenges, the Bourgogne Wine Board (BIVB) has joined forces with Bourgogne négociants and estates to launch two major programs. Co-developed with the industry, these initiatives have already received support from the French Ministry of Agriculture and FranceAgriMer. The Bourgogne Wine Board has committed to at least five years of support, working with local wine merchants and estates to implement the action plans designed for these programs.

Im April 2012 führten wir ein Interview mit Ton Mata, dem Enkelsohn des Gründers des renommierten Cava-Erzeugers Recaredo. Das Weingut gilt als Avantgardist u.a. im ökologischen Bereich und produziert unvergessliche Cavas. Recaredo beteiligt sich an einem gemeinsamen Forschungsprojekt zusammen mit der Tierarztschule der unabhängigen Universität von Barcelona (UAB). Bei diesem Projekt geht es um eine mögliche Integration von Schafen im Weinbau.
