Vecchie Terre di Montefili (link) – for convenience, Montefili – occupies a privileged ridge between 480 and 550 metres, straddling the Panzano and Montefioralle UGAs and among the loftiest vineyard sites in the appellation. Here, Sangiovese does not shout. It speaks in precise, elegant phrases shaped by altitude, complex soils, and a philosophy that treats every parcel as a distinct individual.

Castellina in Chianti, October 2025 – For Famiglia Cecchi (link), the 2025 harvest comes to a close under the sign of balance and quality. It was a regular, harmonious vintage, free of extremes, one that rewarded sound agronomic decisions and the ability to interpret each terroir with consistency. From the hills of Chianti Classico to the Maremma, from Montefalco to Montalcino, all the estates – Villa Cerna, Villa Rosa, Val delle Rose, Tenuta Alzatura, and Aminta – experienced optimal conditions, with warm, breezy days and cool nights that encouraged gradual grape ripening.

Made exclusively from Sangiovese grapes grown in the Prenzano – Petriolo and Orto – Poggio Asciutto microzones, this wine comes from one of the oldest agricultural estates in Italy, with over six centuries of history and a polycultural approach that integrates viticulture, landscape and hospitality. Terre di Prenzano is Vignamaggio’s interpretation of Chianti Classico Annata: an essential, vibrant, and deeply territorial expression of the appellation.

Villa Trasqua: Ein verstecktes Schmuckstück aus dem Gebiet des Chianti Classico

Das Weingut Villa Trasqua (Link) mit ca. 54 Hektar Weinbau und insgesamt 120 Hektar Fläche gibt es nunmehr seit über 50 Jahren. Ihr Vorläufer war die Fattoria di Nerento, die Weinbautradition auf dem Gebiet des Gutes reicht jedoch bis ins Jahr 1001 zurück. 2001 wurde das Weingut von den heutigen Eigentümern, der Familie Hulsbergen, erworben und seit 2014 ist auch der bekannte Önologe Franco Bernabei (in Fachkreisen auch als „Mr. Sangiovese“ bekannt) als Berater dabei. Seither erzielt das Gut mit seinen IGT- und Chianti Classico Weinen eine Auszeichnung nach der anderen.

Principe Corsini: Neues aus dem Traditionsweingut mit Geschichte und Geschmack!

Principe Corsini, so heisst eine der schönsten Villen im Anbaugebiet des Chianti Classico. Prinicipe Corsini, das bereits 1427 gegründet wurde, gehört heute noch der gleichen, aristokratischen Familie, den Corsinis. Sie besitzt eigentlich zwei Weingüter: die Fattoria Le Cortini (Link) in San Casciano Val di Pesa und die Tenuta Marsiliani (Link) im Maremma-Gebiet. Heute leitet Duccio Cortini beide. Ihm ist es auch zu verdanken, dass sich die Qualität der Erzeugnisse seit einigen Jahren stets und massgebend verbessert.
