Flavio Geretto appointed new General Manager of Cantina Rauscedo

A new chapter begins for the historic Friulian cooperative, driven by shared vision, organisational growth and a deep connection to its territory.

Rauscedo (PN), Monday 2 March 2026 Cantina Rauscedo (link) announces the appointment of Flavio Geretto as its new General Manager, marking the start of a renewed phase of development for the cooperative. His arrival reinforces a path built on collaboration, internal consolidation and a strategic outlook centred on the future of Friuli. The goal is a model of shared growth that brings out the full potential of the community and its winemaking heritage, creating value for members while honouring the land.

Founded in 1951 through the collective effort of an entire village, Cantina Rauscedo has grown into a solid, well‑structured organisation deeply rooted in its identity. Its 2,000 hectares of vineyards, stretching between the Tagliamento, Meduna and Cellina rivers, tell the story of a viticulture born from stone, a landscape as fascinating as it is demanding, and of wines that reflect the authenticity of the community and its work ethic.

Geretto joins the cooperative at a positive moment in its trajectory. A strategic step that, as Antonio Zuliani, President of Cantina Rauscedo, explains, aligns with the cooperative’s ambitions: “Cantina Rauscedo has experienced a period of growth in recent years, strengthening its organisation and laying solid foundations for the future. We felt it was time to take another step forward, not only commercially, but above all in terms of structure and long‑term strategy.

We chose Flavio Geretto for the vision he has demonstrated throughout his career: a vision that goes beyond sales and focuses on building strong models, clear processes and effective governance. We are confident that his experience and managerial approach will guide our cooperative into a new phase of development, enhancing our people and further reinforcing our Friulian identity.”

Antonio Zuliani and Flavio Geretto

A seasoned professional with more than 27 years of experience, Flavio Geretto brings a broad skill set spanning commercial leadership and management, combining strategic insight with operational capability.

He embraces this new challenge with enthusiasm and a strong sense of responsibility: “I join Cantina Rauscedo at an important moment, one in which the organisation has become even more solid and aware of its potential. This is essential: building is always easier when you start from healthy foundations and a qualified structure. I have found prepared, competent and motivated people. And when people are strong, everything becomes simpler: work flows better, decisions are clearer and growth is more harmonious. I believe deeply in cooperation. To me, the cooperative model is not just an organisational structure but a vision for the future: working as a team, sharing goals, bringing together skills to navigate increasingly complex markets. The future of Italian wine, and of Friuli in particular, also depends on our ability to act as a system. I love Friuli for its authenticity, for the straightforwardness of its people and for the work culture that defines it. Cantina Rauscedo embodies this identity in a coherent and credible way. My commitment is to further strengthen the organisation, enhance its human capital and ensure continuity in a balanced path of growth, always respecting our members and the territory.

When an organisation is strong and the vision is shared, challenges turn into opportunities. The aim is to create long‑term value, consolidating Cantina Rauscedo’s role as an authentic expression of Friuli and its cooperative spirit.”

Cantina Rauscedo is ready to write a new page in its history, where deep roots and forward momentum come together to express the extraordinary winemaking potential of Friuli, guided by the values that have shaped its journey for more than seventy years.
